Terms and Conditions

For: Advanced STEM Tuition (advancedstemtuition.co.uk)
Subjects Covered: GCSE & A Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Oxbridge MAT and PAT preparation, and Personal Statement guidance.

Advanced STEM Tuition reserves the right to add or remove services or subjects at its discretion. By engaging with our services, you (the Student and/or Parent/Guardian) agree to the following terms:

1. Parties to the Agreement

This legally binding agreement is made between:

• Provider: Advanced STEM Tuition (advancedstemtuition.co.uk), and
• Student, and where applicable, their Parent/Guardian if the Student is under 18 years of age.

2. Scope of Services

Advanced STEM Tuition offers individual and group tutoring in the following areas:

• GCSE: Mathematics, Physics
• A Level: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics
• Other Services: MAT, PAT test preparation, Personal Statement coaching

Instructional services may include:

• One-to-one or group tutoring sessions (online or in-person)
• Homework and study support
• Exam revision and practice (including past paper analysis)
• Diagnostic assessments and feedback
• Customised study planning

3. Student Responsibilities

Students are expected to:

• Arrive punctually for all sessions
• Complete assigned work to the best of their ability
• Notify tutors at least 48 hours in advance of any cancellations or schedule changes
• Engage respectfully and maintain appropriate conduct
• Ensure a quiet, distraction-free environment and stable internet connection for online sessions

4. Provider Responsibilities

Advanced STEM Tuition will:

• Deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned lessons
• Provide constructive feedback and academic guidance
• Communicate progress updates as required
• Treat all personal data with confidentiality in line with UK GDPR
• Ensure tutors are appropriately qualified

5. Booking & Cancellations

• All sessions must be scheduled in advance via our website or directly with an approved tutor
• A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session without penalty
• Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full
• The Provider reserves the right to reschedule sessions in case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances

6. Payment Terms

• Payment is due in advance of the session or as per any pre-agreed invoicing schedule
• Accepted payment methods include bank transfer or other mutually agreed means
• Sessions may be paused if payment is not received on time
• Late payments may incur additional administrative fees

7. Intellectual Property

• All materials provided (e.g., worksheets, notes, videos) are for personal academic use only
• Reproduction, resale, or distribution of materials without permission is strictly prohibited
• All original content remains the intellectual property of Advanced STEM Tuition

8. Data Protection & Privacy

• We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
• Personal data is used solely for educational, administrative, or safeguarding purposes
• Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details

9. Limitation of Liability

• While we strive for academic improvement, no guarantee can be made regarding specific grades or outcomes
• The Provider is not responsible for internet or technical issues outside our control during online sessions
• Liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the relevant session(s)

10. Termination of Agreement

This agreement may be terminated:

• By either party with 7 days’ written notice via email
• Immediately by the Provider in cases of:
  • Misconduct
  • Repeated missed or unpaid sessions
  • Breach of any terms in this agreement

11. Updates to Terms

Advanced STEM Tuition reserves the right to revise these terms at any time.
Notice of any changes will be provided via email or published on our website. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Disputes arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

By enrolling in our services, the Student (and Parent/Guardian, if applicable) confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
