My experience of Dr Baker as an A-Level teacher was overwhelmingly positive! During my time as a student for both maths and physics I was encouraged to develop a deep understanding of complicated topics, often probing concepts beyond the A-Level syllabus. This experience was hugely valuable in fostering an enjoyment for the subject, and enabled me to develop skills and experience that I still use today. Dr Baker was supportive and approachable, and always happy to explain things in more depth or chat about an interesting problem – I am very grateful!
Dr Baker was my teacher for A-level physics and maths and he was absolutely brilliant. Lessons were always fun, interesting and engaging. Dr Baker always knew when to slow down and take a different approach as well as when to take things beyond the syllabus and allow us to explore wider concepts. His enthusiasm for the subjects was infectious and his lessons have created a lasting memory of genuinely enjoyable learning. He was always there to support all students with whatever they needed, whether it be academic or otherwise. I cannot recommend him enough!
Throughout my KS3 – KS5 education, Dr Baker has been an incredibly supportive and dedicated teacher who massively helped me in my studies. He has always had an incredible attention to detail and never fails to go the extra mile to provide the most thorough explanation or visual demonstration possible. His ability to clearly visualise complex topics greatly helped my understanding and confidence in maths, further maths and physics. I am incredibly grateful for Dr Baker’s support during my A – Levels, since, without his dedication, I would never have imagined I would be studying at a world-class university
Dr.Baker is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about maths, and has a knack for passing that passion onto his students. His teaching style is rigorous yet engaging, and I accredit a lot of my A* in both maths and further maths to him. On top of all this, he truly cares about his students.
Dr. Baker has tutored my eldest son and now my middle son. They were both good at mathematics but needed a bit of extra help with some of the higher-tier work. Finding a good tutor was essential, and I'm so glad we found Dr.Baker! His expertise in maths is clearly evident, and he was able to break down complex concepts in a way that was easy for both boys to understand. He was patient, supportive, and always willing to answer questions. With his guidance, my eldest son was able to improve his grade at GCSE mathematics from a 3 to a 6 in a few months! My middle son has had 7 lessons so far and is already seeing progress. He is now able to answer questions confidently, which he was struggling with prior to working with Dr.Baker.
I couldn’t have asked for a better Maths and Further Maths teacher than Dr Baker. He has a way of breaking down even the most complex topics into something clear and manageable, making a huge difference in my confidence and understanding. His patience, encouragement, and deep knowledge made learning enjoyable, and he genuinely cares about his students, always going the extra mile to help. If you’re looking for a tutor who knows his stuff and can explain it in a way that actually makes sense, I can’t recommend him enough. Thank you for all that you did for me!
